Two solid Pure Swing House tracks. Pure Twenty’s Feeling on the Gadjo and La Cumbia! Clem was born in Switzerland in 1984, he started music as a drummer in a small rock band until the age of 14. Later he bought his first turntables and started mixing hip hop with his friends in his basement. In this period, he discovered the House Music. It is only 10 years later, at the age of 24 years he devoted entirely to electronic music as DJ. more info: www.eraserecords.com

Der Glockenkopf / Sanchos Sunrise

18 Nov

Tune in to some freshness from The Chosen Two! ‘Der Glockenkopf’ and ‘Sanchos Sunrise’ …two tracks which can be categorized as fuel for the dance floor with massive bass lines and rolling sample action. (Powder & Louder SC, 2011)

Stereo Express // Shadoorack EP

16 Nov

Stereo Express doesn’t disappoint. Tune in to another bangin’ EP from the duo from Belgium, out this December on Atmosphere Records.

The Shadoorack / Bootaleeza EP is a both digital and vinyl release. The original tracks are influenced by swing music from the 30’s. They make use of many instruments, catchy melodies and appealing vocals. The remixes add a valuable extra. Dan Caster doesn’t just offer another version of Shadoorack, but an almost new track in the typical Supdub sound. Arts & Leni bring a great interpretation of Bootaleeza with a strong melodic break. (Atmosphere Records SC, 2011)

Rainer Weichhold // Jerk Chicken

22 Oct

Meant to post this one two weeks ago, oops! A ska tech release from Rainer Weichhold on Kling Klong – here be a short text description from the SC:

This is definitely not the typical Kling Klong release but labelboss Martin Eyerer gave his collegue Rainer Weichhold the go to explore some Ska territory with his “Jerk Chicken”. Produced with Namito in Berlin the step wasn’t big to ask Boundzound from famous german Reggae band Seeed for some vocals. And nothing easier than singing about the famous jamaican Jerk Chicken. Clubfriendly remixes from Dapayk and Steve Mac make this an exceptional package and fun release. (Rainer Weichhold SC, 2011)
